23rd Jan

I haven't done much since last time I posted. Today, I posted my deco book, and I've just realised that I didn't take a picture of it! I decorated the envelope, and the lady in the PO thought it was lovely!

I also managed to do today's lesson and send it off. I'm hoping lots of people will add to it, and maybe I might even get it back. I didn't take a picture of that either!

Here's the lovely card I received from Rachel.
It's really tiny, only 3 inches square. i love the colours. What paint did you use Rachel? I am very nervous of using paint. And the stamp is so clear.

gorgeous card from Cricket

I received this today from Cricket. How wonderful to receive a letter from abroad! The envelope was so gorgeous (vellum) that I didn't want to open it! The card shows a picture of her passion - her garden! She says there is snow on the ground at the moment, but she can't wait till Spring to plant more roses. I bet they smell lovely! I love gardening too, and am in the middle of altering a lunch tin for my friend's birthday. I went into a lovely little garden shop today and got a mini lilac watering can! It's fab! Lilac gardening gloves and a few packets of seeds and tags to go in the lunch tin.

13th Jan

I received a postcard from Suzy today, 1 of 4. Mine is no 4/4. It's only tiny, just 8cm diameter. It is a gorgeous colour, orangy red, and is stamped, with a stamp and a butterfly on it.

I've taken yesterday and today to think about what to do re my passion. Then I must make a little book. Might go and have a go at those this evening.

12th Jan 2006

On Tuesday, I made and sent a postcard, lesson one.

Yesterday, I made a start on my altered envelope. I found 1 junk mail envelope, but had to wait till Maurice got in to open the letter so I could use it. It's quite big.

I finished it off today. I loved writing my stuff about how I discovered art, because I got some notes and essays I had written while doing an art history course at university a few years ago. I posted it to the USA today!

More exciting is the fact that I received a postcard today from Susan in Berlin! It's gorgeous, really arty! Here is a picture of it:
It is a collage with a picture of a girl with weird triffid like things around her (I say that cos I'm reading Day of the Triffids at the moment! I'm not being rude, promise!) There are some lovley patterns drawn and coloured behind the girl, who is wearing a pink pointy hat.
